Hi,

I am very interested in the program. I have a bachelors degree in marketing/business administration and started working on the alternative license requirements last year taking the Praxis II test, Adolescent Psychology and a Teaching Methods course, but now need to gain field experience. I have been told that my experience as a substitute teacher will not be enough. I really want to become a fully licensed teacher. Please contact me on how to get started.

Hi, I am new to your site, but through much research stumbled upon it, to my delight. I live in California, and I am a second career student, completing my Masters in Education Administration. I have no previous experience as a teacher, but have been a Special Education Assist/ Moderate to Severe for two years, and the Mother of a moderately disable child who is 19 years old. The issue is that I have no interest in teaching in California, and plan to return to my home state of Ohio (preferably Gallia County) to begin and continue my career. I have 2 quarters left in my F2F program, then my thesis. I am planning to take additional classes, online, through Harvard extension program, adding a ultimate certificate in differentiated learning, and am VERY interested in online instruction and curriculum. Is there any advice you can give me? I would like to relocate to Ohio after completeing my Masters Thesis, could take the basic CBEST while waiting, but have no idea if it is really necessary. Truthfully, if I could find a program that would prepare me to return to my home, and teach in the area I love the most, I would do whatever I could to accomodate the process. Being an "mature" student, I don't have the luxury of spending extended periods acquiring credentials that are unnecessary and ultimately of no value. In addition, I am getting much too old for special education classrooms, the level of student activity, and the necessity to physically participate in their energy level, is well getting more difficult. Could you give me some guidance, advice, insight, or even a push??? I am excited to find that there even possibilities.....Thank you for any consideration you might give to my quest......K Jerwa

Hello. I just wished to inform you that some elements of your site are tricky to scan for me, as I am color blind. I suffer from tritanopia, but there are more varieties of color blindness which will also have issues. I will read the largest part of the web page Okay, and the parts I have difficulties with I am able to understand by employing a special browser. All the same, it'd be nice if you could keep in mind us color-blind folk while doing your next site redesign. Cheers.
